(NOW) No Opportunity Wasted

This looks like a cool show to be hosted by Phil Keoghan from The Amazing Race.

The show, No Opportunity Wasted, appears to give $3k to someone to use in 72 hours in some sort of adventurous way. It's based around the idea of creating a list of things to do in your lifetime, which seems like a pretty good list to keep.

First thoughts for me might be:
  • Live somewhere other than Atlanta for a while.
  • Coach my son's football/basketball/baseball/soccer team.
  • Visit the Maldives.
  • Ski in Switzerland.
  • Write a novel.
  • Write a second novel.
  • Compete in a triathlon.

I'll do some more thinking...

Don't Know About Gmail Yet

So I finally got an invite from a kind soul to Google's new email service, Gmail. My initial thought is that there's not enough cool stuff to make me switch from Yahoo. The threaded email feature is cool though, but my guess is that we'll see that land in Yahoo at some point. And with Yahoo's acquisition of Oddpost I'm hoping that we have a nicer client-side email reader soon.

We'll see though. I'll keep my Gmail account (mattculbreth@gmail.com) around for a while to see if it grows on me more.
